Candle Warmers
Candles create an intimate environment, the flicker and glow of candlelight is romantic and reflects throughout the room. Nothing smells as nice as a scented candle. One of the latest trends on the market are candle warmers or tart warmers.
Candle warmers and tart warmers are very similar in design. They can be either electric or non-electric, and work by heating a piece of scented candle wax or a tart, which in turn releases its scent into the room. Most tarts offer a stronger fragrance than your traditional scented candle. The electric warmers eliminate the fear and danger of having an open flame, but offer the same type of fragrance that a scented candles would offer, without the mess.
Electric Candle Warmers
Electric candle warmers are designed to be used with contained candles, such as those in a jar. These are not designed to be used with tapers or votives. There are other designs that may offer a cup to place the candle in. Tart warmers on the other hand, offer the same type of concept but are designed to heat and melt pieces of wax especially designed for this called tarts. Tarts are usually wickless, and as stated earlier tend to have a more intense fragrance than the scented candles. The designs of these candle warmers also vary, but usually will offer some type of small bowl or indented area to hold the tart and contain the paraffin wax as it melts.
